Week 4

In week 4, we were planning to do the shoot on Friday. But because of the weather, we had to stop the plan and wait until next week. Not just our team, but the other group was facing the same problem.

 

I was at home and thinking about what I could do on the weekend instead of just waiting.

I thought about I had some cameras at home, and some LED, maybe I can do a rehearsal in my place, and we can know what we need for next time shooting. Plus, the videos I shot, can be the test footage for my teammates to start trying the techniques.

So I set up a hero camera, and two witness cameras for the shot. And I also did some make-up on my face, because we are thinking put some make-up on the actress to help the camera tracking and as part of the character decoration.

For the lighting, I tried some warm light with high contrast. It actually helps me later to realize warm light might not be good for showing metal. So in the real shot, we change the key light to daylight color.

This video helped our team know what we want and what we don’t.
