Team Eva
About Us
Team Eva is a group of young and passionate VFX artists. We love Si-Fi stories and Japanese Si-Fi animations. We fell in love with a world where humans develop high-tech robot techniques. The world does not just belong to humans, there are cyborgs, robots, and other creatures.
Inspirations
From the Powerhouse VFX website, I saw they made the visual effects for Stranger Things: season 4. And the trailer is so cool. A lot of visual effects happen, they are not common, very visible. But also, they are believable. That’s the magic of VFX, to build a world that makes the audience believe. I am so inspired by that, so I really want to make a little film to try those techniques in this quarter with Powerhouse VFX.
References
We build up our story together, and imagine our character together. We love our character, her name is Eva. My teammate Nic gives her a very strong background story.
We spend time sitting together, and found a lot of references for our character, that way we all know what she will look like.
And also reference to the environment, we like to make sure all teammates like the goal that we are going toward.
Storyboard
We also talked about the storyboard together, to make sure everyone knows every shot.
And my teammate Eugene did the drawing for the storyboard while we were discussing the shots. She also made a very lovely concept art to show our ideas.
From the storyboard, we clarified the idea, and that will surely help our live-shooting.
